Integrating innovative technology, original music, and dance, this powerful play mixes love, humor, creativity … and math.

The story of businessman who falls in love with a professor of mathematics even though he is unable to understand the equations she’s passionate about. The play was inspired by G. H. Hardy’s book The Mathematician’s Apology and his work with the genius mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, who left India for Britain as a young man to study at Cambridge University. A Disappearing Number moves between the early 20th century and the present day as it explores human connections, the persistence of true love, and the wonders of infinity.
